Depending on your camera model, the app offers features such as:

The app enhances the native alerting capabilities of AXIS cameras by enabling users to receive instant notifications directly on their devices in case of events such as motion detection or input-triggered sensors. This feature facilitates prompt response and remote monitoring of property.

For PTZ-enabled AXIS cameras, remote control is possible via three distinct methods:

1. Gesture controls: swipe to pan/tilt, pinch to zoom
2. Motion controls: physically tilt or pan your device to move the camera accordingly
3. Tapping gestures: double tap to focus on a specific area, triple tap to zoom in

The app provides instructional video tutorials for installation and control setup, aiding users in maximizing its capabilities. Utilizing the device’s accelerometer requires some practice, but the built-in demo cameras offer an opportunity to familiarize yourself with various control modes without the need for live cameras.

Camera discovery is simplified through Bonjour, which automatically detects compatible devices within your network within seconds. Adjusting bandwidth settings for local Wi-Fi, remote Wi-Fi, or 3G connections is straightforward, with real-time bandwidth usage displayed within the app. The software supports managing multiple cameras simultaneously, streamlining comprehensive security management across your network.

Full functionality requires an active subscription, with options for monthly or annual renewal. Each subscription begins with a 7-day free trial; cancellations before the trial period ends prevent billing. Subscriptions are auto-renewable unless turned off prior to renewal through your iTunes account settings. Managing your subscription and cancellation options can be accessed via your device’s account preferences. Please note that cancelling a trial after purchasing an auto-renewing subscription forfeits the trial benefits.
